Every ingredient, on the label.
We publish the whole formula: ingredients, sources, and the things we deliberately left out. No proprietary blends, no asterisks.

An antioxidant familiar from face serums. We use the stabilized, oil-soluble form so it stays fresh in the balm.
A liquid wax ester structurally similar to skin's own sebum. Absorbs quickly, never feels slick or waxy.
A fat-soluble antioxidant. Pairs with Vitamin C and helps keep the balm fresh on your shelf.
A humectant that helps the balm feel deeply conditioning instead of just sitting on top.
Holds the balm's shape and gives it the soft glide. Sourced from small US apiaries — never bleached, never deodorized.
Refined Ghanaian shea. Rich in fatty acids that give the balm its soft, nourishing feel.

How to use it.
Use it as often as you’d like. We like ours twice a day, morning and night, and reapplied any time lips feel dry.
Glide it on.
Twist up and apply directly to lips. No need to wash or prep beforehand. Use as much or as little as feels right.
Expect a soft sheen.
You’ll notice a light, oil-like feel at first. That’s the shea, jojoba, and vitamin oils doing their work.
The oils absorb in.
Within a minute or two the sheen settles, leaving lips feeling soft, conditioned, and lastingly moisturized. Not slick.
Reapply as needed.
After water, after meals, or any time lips feel dry. There’s no wrong amount. A little goes a long way.

“I got tired of finishing my serum-and-moisturizer routine with a tube of waxy, sugary drugstore balm. So I made the lip balm I wished existed.”
Why I started DermaForge.
I’d been finishing every face-care routine with a tube of waxy, sugary drugstore balm. It bothered me. Most lip balms are basically confectionery: wax, color, and a heavy dose of sweetener to keep you reapplying.
So I started making my own in my kitchen in Houston. The rule was simple. Ingredients I’d actually put in my skincare, like fair-trade shea, cold-pressed jojoba, and Vitamins C, E, and B5. And nothing sweet, sugary, or syrupy. No saccharin, no stevia, no flavored sweetener oils. Just real botanicals.
Two years of small batches later, DermaForge launched in 2025. Every tube is still hand-poured here, with the entire ingredient list printed on the label.

my wife stole this one
Bought it for myself and she had it by day two. Ordered two more. The rose scent is really subtle, not perfumey at all. Lips just feel softer without feeling like anything is on them.
part of my morning now
I put it on right after brushing my teeth and honestly forgot what it felt like before. The maple is light, not sweet like candy. Lips feel good all day, no reapplying every hour.
"Obsessed."
Use it every night now
Started putting it on before bed and my lips feel so much softer in the morning. The lavender is calming without being overwhelming. Not sticky at all, which was my main thing with other balms.
Always reaching for this one
I have like four lip balms sitting on my desk and this is the one I keep grabbing. The boysenberry smells so good and it doesn't leave that gross film. My coworker asked what it was after one sniff.
"Noticed a difference after a couple weeks."
I switched from Burts Bees after 20 years
That's basically it. Used Burts Bees my whole life, tried this, not going back. No waxy feeling, better flavors. The bundle price is fair too.
Rose Chai is something else
Tried three flavors so far and this one is my favorite by a lot. It's warm and a tiny bit spicy. Nothing like the usual fruity lip balm stuff. Really different in a good way. Already on my second one.
"The vanilla one got me."
